Web Access Research Portal

WARP Access

There are four levels of access to WARP:

Level One General Public Entry Level

Any person may search for research active staff by the key-word search. Users can also search for an individual by name. The research data supplied is that deemed to be of a nature suitable for the public domain. This includes:

  • successful grants and contracts where the record is not deemed to be confidential
  • confirmed publications data
  • graduate research supervision

Level Two Staff Entry Level

University of Tasmania staff members who hold a current UTas appointment may register for a password and gain a new level of entry to WARP. With access at this level an individual may request information on their own research activity, including:

  • all grants and contracts for which they are named as a Chief Investigator (successful and unsuccessful)
  • publications where they are named as an author
  • applications for ethical approval where they are named as an Investigator
  • graduate research supervision

Staff can also nominate to receive newsletters from the Office of Research Services and provide their personal web address for use in the WARP key word search.

Level Three School Entry Level

Each School may nominate a person(s) who has access to WARPs third level. This person will be able to access level two information for all researchers in their designated school. Heads of Schools are automatically granted level three access for their school.
