WARP Security

WARP has been designed with several layers of security:

  • Staff ID's are used to identify individuals to ensure that the correct person is identified.
  • When a password is requested by a staff member (based on their ID), the generated password is emailed back to them using the email address already held on the system. This ensures that an individual cannot gain password access to another's data by providing a fake email address.
  • Staff members who require access to their school and/or college data must be nominated in writing (using the nomination form) by their Head of School/Dean. This access is valid for one year only, and a new form must be submitted to the Office of Research Services for continued access.
  • Access to levels two, three and four of WARP is dependent upon the individual holding a current employment contract (or Honorary status) with the University.
